Alwaysstop the engine and do not smokeorallow
open flames or sparksnearthe vehicle when refu-
elling.

Fuel maybeunder pressure. Turn the capahalf of
aturn, and wait for any “hissing” sound to stop to
prevent fuel from spraying outand possiblycaus-
ing personal injury.Then remove the cap.

Useonlyanoriginal equipment type fuel-fillercap
as areplacement. It has abuilt-in safety valve
needed forproper operationof thefuel systemand
emission control system. An incorrect capcan re-
sult in aseriousmalfunction and possibleinjury.
OPENING FUEL-FILLER LID
To open the fuel-fillerlid, unlockitusing one of
the following operations, then push the right
side of the lid

Push the door handle request switch with the Intel-
ligent Keycarried with you.
•
Push the “UNLOCK”
m
button on theIntelligent
Key.
•
Push the power door lockswitchtothe “UNLOCK”
m
position.
To close the fuel-fillerlid, close the lid until it
securely latches. To lockthe fuel-fillerlid, lock
the vehicleusing the intelligent key.
FUEL-FILLER CAP
Turn the fuel-fillercap anticlockwisetoremove.
To tighten, turn the capclockwiseuntil asingle
clickisheard.

CAUTION
If fuel is spilled on the vehicle body,flush it awaywith
water to avoidpaint damage.
WARNING
Do notadjust the steering wheel while driving. You
could lose control of your vehicle and causeanacci-
dent.
Releasethe locklever

Firmly push the locklever backinto position to
lockthe steering wheel in place.
