If the driver’s side mirror is currently selected, the
passenger side mirror will not move when reverse
gearisengaged.
Settingand storing the parking position using
thememorybutton:
Youcan set the front-passenger side exterior
mirror so thatyoucan see the rear wheel on that
side as soon as youengagereverse gear. This
setting canbestored usingmemorybutton M

1. Makesure that the vehicle is stationary.
2. Switch the ignition switch to the ON position.
3.Pressbutton

2for the external mirror on
the front-passenger side.
4. Engagereverse gear. The exterior mirror on
the front-passenger side moves to the preset
parking position.
5. Useadjustment button
j
3toadjust the exte-
rior mirror.You shouldsee therear wheel and
the kerb in the exterior mirror.
6. Pressmemorybutton M
j
4and one of the
arrowson adjustmentbutton
j
3within three
seconds. The parking position is stored ifthe
exterior mirror does not move.
7. If the mirror movesout of position, repeat the
steps.
Calling up astored parking position:
1.Switchthe ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Adjust theexterior mirror on the front pas-
senger side with the corresponding button.
3. Engagereverse gear. The exterior mirror on
thefront-passenger side moves to the stored
parking position
Theexterior mirror on the front-passenger side
moves backtoits original position:
As soon as youexceed aspeed of 15 km/h.
Aboutten seconds after youhave disengaged re-
versegear.
Ifyoupressbutton j1for the exterior mirroron the
driver’sside.
AUTOMATIC ANTI-DAZZLE MIRRORS
(where fitted)
WARNING
Electrolyte mayescape if the glass of an automatic
anti-dazzlemirror breaks. Electrolyte is harmful and
causes irritation. It must not come into contact with
your skin, eyes, respiratoryorgansorclothing or be
swallowed There is ariskofinjury.
If youcome into contact with electrolyte, observe the
following:
Immediately rinse electrolyte from your skin with
water.
Immediately and thoroughly rinse electrolyte out
of eyes using clean water.
If electrolyte is swallowed,immediately rinse out
your mouth thoroughly.Donot inducevomiting.
If electrolyte comes into contact with skin or eyes,
or is swallowed, seek medical attention immedi-
ately.
Immediately changeout of clothing that has been
in contact with electrolyte.
If an allergic reaction occurs, seek medical atten-
tion immediately.
The rear-view mirror and the exterior mirror on
the driver’s side automatically go into
anti-dazzle mode if the ignition is switched on
and incident light from headlampsstrikes the
sensor in the rear-view mirror.
The mirrorsdonot go into anti-dazzle mode if
reversegearisengagedor if the interior lighting
is switched on.
