WARNING
If youleave children unattended in the vehicle, they
maybeabletoset the vehicle in motion if,for ex-
ample, they:

Releasethe parking brake.
•
Shiftthe automatic transmission out of park posi-
tionP(Park) orshiftmanualtransmissioninto neu-
tral.
•
Startthe engine.
In addition,they mayoperate vehicle equipment and
become trapped. There is ariskofanaccident and
injury.
To help avoid risk of injuryordeath through unin-
tended operationofthe vehicle and/or its systems,
do notleave children, people whorequirethe assis-
tanceofothers, or pets unattended in your vehicle.
Additionally,the temperature inside aclosed vehicle
on awarm day canquicklybecome high enough to
causeasignificant risk of injuryordeath to people
andpets.
Thefunction of the electric parking brakeisde-
pendenton the on-boardvoltage.Iftheon-board
voltageislow or if there is amalfunction in the
system,itmay not be possibletoapply the re-
leased parking brake. If thisisthe case:
•
Only park thevehicle on level ground and secure it
to prevent it from rolling away.
•
Vehicles with automatic transmission:Shiftthe au-
tomatic transmission to position P(Park).
•
Vehicles with manual transmission: engage first
gear.
•
Contact an INFINITI Centre or qualified workshop.
It maynot be possibletoreleaseanapplied
parking brakeifthe on-board voltageislow orif
there is amalfunction in the system. Contact an
INFINITI Centre or qualified workshop.
The electric parking brakecarries out afunction
checkatregular intervals when the engine is
switched off.Noises that occurare normal.
