The view around and ahead of the front pas-
senger’s side wheel.
To
display the multiple views, the Around View
Monitorsystem uses cameras

frontgrille,onthe vehicle’s outside mirrorsand
one just above the vehicle’s rear number plate.
AROUND VIEW MONITORSYSTEM
OPERATION
Withthe ignition switch inthe ONposition,move
the shift lever to the R(Reverse) position or
press the <CAMERA> button to operate the
Around View Monitor.
Thescreen displayed onthe Around View Moni-
tor will automatically return to the previous
screen

inutesafter the
<CAMERA>
button
has
been pushedwhile the shift lever is in aposition
other than the R(Reverse) position.
Available views
WARNING
•
Thedistanceguide line and the vehicle width line
should be used as areferenceonlywhen the ve-
hicle is on apaved, level surface. The distance
viewed on the monitor is for referenceonlyand
maybedifferent than the actual distancebetween
thevehicle and displayed objects.
•
Usethe displayed lines and the bird’s-eye view as
areference. The lines and the bird’s-eye view are
greatly affected by the number of occupants,fuel
level, vehicleposition, road condition and road
grade.
•
If the tyres are replaced with different sizedtyres,
thepredictive course line and the bird’s-eye view
maybedisplayed incorrectly.
•
When driving the vehicle up ahill, objects viewed
in themonitor are further than they appear.When
drivingthe vehicle down ahill, objects viewed in
themonitor are closer than they appear.
•
Objects in the monitor will appear visually oppo-
site compared to when viewed in the rear view and
outside mirrors.
•
Usethe mirrors or actually look to properly judge
distancestoother objects.
•
The distancebetween objects viewed in the rear
view differs from actual distancebecause awide-
angle lens is used.
•
On asnow-covered or slipperyroad, there maybe
adifferencebetweenthepredictive courselineand
the actual course line.
•
Thevehicle width and predictive course lines are
wider than the actual width and course.
•
Thedisplayed lines on the rear view will appear
slightly offtothe right because the rear view cam-
eraisnot installed in therear centre of thevehicle.
