Usethe residual heat function if youwant to heat
or ventilate the vehicleinterior when control the
ignition is switched off.The residual heat function
canonlybeactivated or deactivated with the igni-
tion switched off.

If youchangethe settings of the climate control
system, the climate status display appears forap-
proximately three seconds at the bottomofthe
screen in thecentre display (see separate operat-
ing instructions). Youwillsee the current settings
of the variousclimate control functions.
ECOstop/startfunction
During automatic engine switch-off,the Climate
control only operates at areduced capacity.If
yourequire the fullclimate control output, you
canswitchoff the ECOstop/start function by
pressing the ECObutton (see
“ECOStop/StartSys-
tem (wherefitted)” inthe “5. Starting and driving” sec-
tion
).
Switching automatic climate control
on/off
When theclimate control is switched off,the air
supply andair circulation are also switched off.
The windows could mist up.Therefore, only
switch off climate control briefly.
Makesure the ignition switch is in the ON posi-
tion.
To activate:
Pressthe

button The indicator lamp in the

button lights up.Airflow and air distribu-
tion are set to automatic mode.

Press the

button. The indicator lamp in

button goesout. Theprevioussettings
are reactivated.
To deactivate:

NOTE
Automatic climate control: switch on climate control

Activating/deactivating the cooling
with air dehumidification function
Ifyoudeactivate the“Cooling withair dehumidi-
fication” function,the air inside the vehicle will
not be cooled.The air inside the vehicle will also
not be dehumidified.The windows canmistup
more quickly. Therefore, only deactivate the
“Co
oling
wi
th air dehumidification”
function
briefly.
The “Cooling with air dehumidification” func-
tion is only available when the engine is run-
ning.The air inside the vehicle is cooled and
dehumidified according to the temperature se-
lected.
Condensation maydrip from the underside of
thevehicle when cooling mode is active. Thisis
normal and not asign that there is amalfunc-
tion.
To activate:

Problems with the “Cooling with air dehumidi-
