AUDIO OPERATION PRECAUTIONS

Thedriver must not attempt to operate the audio
systemwhile the vehicle is in motion, so that full
attention maybegiven to vehicle operation.

Park the vehicle in asafe location and apply the
parking brakebefore operating the audio system
andplaying movies (where fitted).

Operatethe audio system only when the vehicle
engineisrunning. Operating the audio system for
extended periods of time with the engine turned
offcan dischargethe vehicle battery.

Turn the ignition switch to the ACCorONposi-
tion before turning on the radio. If youlisten to
the radio when the engine is not running, the
ignition switch should be pushed to the ACCpo-
sition.

Radioreception
Your radio system is equipped with state-of-the-
artelectronic circuits to enhanceradio recep-
tion. These circuits are designed to extend re-
ception range,and to enhancethequality of that
reception.
Howeverthere are some general characteristics
of both FM andAMradio signals that canaffect
radio reception quality inamoving vehicle,even
when thebest quality equipment is used. These
characteristicsare completely normal in agiven
receptionarea, anddo notindicate anymalfunc-
tioninyour radio system.
Reception conditionswillconstantly changebe-
causeofvehicle movement. Buildings, terrain,
signal distanceand interferencefrom other ve-
hicles canadversely affect ideal reception. De-
scribed below are some of the factors that can
affect radio reception.
Somemobilephonesorotherdevicesmaycause
interferenceorabuzzing noiseto come from the
audiosystem speakers. Storing the deviceina
different location mayreduceoreliminate the
noise.
