The electric power steering system is designed
to reduce the driver effortrequired to steer the
vehicle.
If during operation afault is detected the follow-
ingmessage will be displayed in the vehicle in-
formationdisplay along with an audible warn-
ing tone.

In conjunction with this warning, steering assis-
tancewillnolongerbeprovided by the system.
The effortrequired to steer the vehicle will in-
crease.Thiswillbemostnoticeableatlow speed
and when performing atight turning manoeu-
vre.
Checkwhether youare able to provide the extra
effortrequired.
If youare able to steer safely: Carefully drive on
to an INFINITI centre or qualified workshop.
If youare unabletosteer safely: Donot drive
on. Contact the nearest INFINITI centre or quali-
fied workshop for assistance.
NOTE
Whenthe steering wheel is operated repeatedlyor
continuously while parking or driving at averylow
speed,the power assistancefor the steering wheel
will be reduced. Thisistoprevent overheating of the
electric powersteering systemand protect it from be-
