Installation on front passenger’s seat
WARNING

Never installarear-facing child restraint system
on thefront passenger seat without ensuring that
the front passenger air bag is deactivated. The ve-
hicle is equipped with an automatic front-passen-
gerfrontair bagdeactivationsystem.The PASSEN-

must be lit.
In afrontal collision, supplemental front-impact
air bags inflate with great force. An inflating
supplemental front-impact air bag could seriously
injure or kill your child.

Neverinstall achild restraint with atop tether
straponthe front seat.

INFINITI recommends that achildrestraint be in-
stalled on the rear seat. However,ifyou must in-
stallachild restraint on thefrontpassenger’sseat,
move the passenger’s seat to the rearmost posi-
tion.
•
Child restraints for infants must be used in the
rear-facing direction and therefore must not be
used on the front passenger’s seat when the front
passenger’s air bag has not been deactivated.
Front-facing:
Be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instruc-
tionsfor the proper use ofyour child restraint.
Follow these stepstoinstall afront-facing child
restraint on the front passenger’s seat using a
3-pointtype seat belt without automatic locking
mode:
1. Ensure that thefront passenger air bag is de-
activated.The vehicleis equipped with an au-
tomatic front-passenger front air bag deacti-
