6. To prevent slackinthe seat beltwebbing, itis
necessarytosecure the seatbeltinplacewith
locking devices attached to the child
restraint.
7. Remove any additional slackfrom the seat
belt;pressdownward

firmly in thecentre ofthe child restraint with
your knee to compressthe vehicle seat cush-
ion and seatbackwhile pulling uponthe seat
belt.
8. Test the child restraint before youplace the
child in it

6.Push the child restraint from
side to side and tugitforward to make sure
that it is held securely in place.
9. Check to make sure that the child restraint is
properlysecured prior to each use. If the child
restraint is loose, repeat steps5through 8.
