ERA-GLONASSisasystem that is intended to
bringrapid assistancetothe driver and passen-
ge
rswhen an emergencysituation has occurred.
AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY CALL
If theair bag control unit detects afrontal colli-
sion, side collision, or vehicle rollover,the sys-
tem automatically sends an emergency call to
theemergency call centre. At the same time, the
vehicleinformation (location of the vehicle, ve-
hicle speed, and the direction of travel)
is also
transferred. Onceyour emergency call is
received by the emergency call centre, the op-
eratortries to talk to the vehicle’s occupants.
NOTE
•
During the emergencycall, the volume of thevoice
of the operator cannot be adjusted.
•
During the emergency call,the volume of the ve-
hicl
eaudio will be muted.
The ERA-GLONASSsystem is alwaysenabled by
default.
Thefollowing information will be sent to the
emergencycallcentre by ERA-GLONASSsystem
whenacollision occurs.
•
Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
•
Engine type
•
The time stamp (when the collision or event oc-
curred)
•
Vehicle location and vehicle direction
Thisdatawillbedeletedassoonasitisnolonger
required.
MAKING AN EMERGENCYCALL
MANUALLY
Youcan also make an emergency call manually
by pushing the SOScallswitchlocated on the
overhead control panel.
CAUTION
•
Park the vehicle in asafe location and apply the
parking brakebefore operating the SOSswitch.
•
Usethisservice only in case of an emergency.
Theremay be apenalty for inappropriate useof
the service.
