If areplacement tyre is mounted or awheel is re-
placed without aTPMSsensor,the TPMSwillnot
function andthe low tyre pressure warning light
will flashfor approximately 1minute. The light will
remain on after 1minute. Contact an INFINITI
Centre or qualified workshop as soon as possible
for tyre replacement and/or system resetting.
•
Replacing tyres with those not originally specified
by INFINITI could affect the proper operation of the
TPMS.
CAUTION
•
TheTPMSisnot asubstitute forthe regular tyre
pressure check. Be sure to checkthe tyre pressure
regularly.
•
If the vehicleisbeing driven at speeds of lessthan
25 km/h (16 MPH), the TPMSmay not operate cor-
rectly.
•
Be sure to installthe specified size of tyres to all
four wheels correctly.
Malfunction Indicator light
(yellow)
When theignition switch is turned to the ON po-
sition, the yellow Malfunction Indicator light il-
luminates. Thismeans that the system is opera-
tional.
If the yellow engine malfunction indicator light
lights up whilethe engine is running, there may
be afault, for example:
•
In theengine management
•
In the fuelinjection system
•
In the exhaust system
•
In theignition system (for vehicles with petrol en-
gines)
•
In the fuel system
•
In othermonitored items, for example the DCT au-
tomatictransmission.
The emission limit values maybeexceeded and
the engine mayberunning in emergency mode.
Have thevehicle checkedassoon as possibleat
an INFINITI

ntre or qualified workshop.
Vehicles with adiesel engine:the fuel tank has
been rundry.
Startthe engine three to four times after refuel-
ling. If the engine malfunction indicator light
goes out, emergencyrunning modeis cancelled.
The vehicle need not be checked.
CAUTION
Continued vehicle operation without having the en-
ginecontrol system checkedand repaired as neces-
sary could lead to poor driveability,reduced fuel
economyand possibledamagetothe engine control
system, whichmay affect your warranty coverage.
Incorrect setting of the engine control system
mayleadtonon-complianceoflocal and na-
tional emission laws and regulations.
Distancewarning light
Thislight illuminates if the distancetothe ve-
hicleinfront is too smallfor the speed selected.
Ifawarning tone also sounds, youareapproach-
ing avehicle or stationaryobstacle in your line
of travel at toohigh aspeed. Foradditional in-

Electric parking brake warning
light (red or yellow)
The red indicator illuminates when the electric
parking brakeisengaged.

Seat belt (driver and front
passenger) warning light
The seat belt warning light reminds youtofas-
ten your seat belts. The light illuminates if the
engine is started, alldoors are closed and the
