fastened. It will remain illuminated until the
driver and/or front passenger fastenstheir seat

The seat belt warning light mayalso illuminate
if thereare objects on the front passenger seat.
Remove the objects and stow them in asafe
place.
If theseatbelt warning light flashes, together
with an intermittent warning tone, thismeans
that the driver or passenger has not fastened
their seat belt, and the speed of the vehicleis
exceeding 25 km/h (15 MPH).
Supplemental Restraint
System (SRS) air bag warning
light
WARNING
Ifthesupplementalair bagwarning light ison, it could
mean that the front air bag,driver’s knee air bag, side
air bag, curtain air bag and/or pre-tensioner systems
will not operate in an accident. To help avoid injuryto
yourself or others, have your vehicle checkedbyan
INFINITI Centre or qualified workshop as soon as pos-
sible.
When the ignition switch is in the ON position,
theSupplemental Restraint System (SRS) air
bagwarning lightilluminatestoindicatethatthe
system is operational. The lightthen tuns off
within afew seconds after the engine is started.
If any of the following conditionsoccur,the air
bag systems and pre-tensioner systems need
servicing and the vehicle must be takentoan
INFINITI Centre or qualified workshop:
•
Thesupplemental air bag warning light remainson
for longer than afew seconds oncethe engine is
running.
•
The supplemental air bag warning light flashes in-
termittently.
•
The supplemental air bag warning light does not
come on at all.
Unlesscheckedand repaired, the SRS air bag
system and/or thepre-tensioner seat belt sys-
temmay not function properly.

Coolant warning light (where
fitted)
WARNING
If the coolant warning light is lit, the engine maynot
be being cooled sufficiently and maybedamaged.
Never drive with an overheated engine. Driving when
yourengineisoverheatedcancausesomefluidswhich
mayhave leakedintotheengine compartmenttocatch
fire.
In addition, steam from an overheated engine can
causeseriousburns, whichcan occur just by opening
thebonnet.
Thereisarisk of injury
If the red coolant warning light lights up while
the engine is running and the coolant tempera-
ture gaugeisatthe startofthe scale, the tem-
perature sensor for the coolant temperature
gaugeisfaulty.The coolant temperature is no
longer bein

onitored.There
is
ar

ngine
damageifthe coolant temperature is toohigh.
Stop thevehicle immediately,paying attention
to road andtraffic conditions, and switch off the
engine. Do not continue driving under any cir-
cumstances.
Consult an INFINITI centre or qualified
workshop.
If the red coolant warning light comes on while
theengine is running, with or without an accom-
panyingwarning tone, it could mean that:
•
The coolant level is toolow.
•
If thecoolantlevel is correct, the airflow to the en-
gine radiator maybeblockedorthe electric engine
radiator fanmay be malfunctioning.
