Goodrulesforpropercleaningofthereaderare:
Donotcleantheelectricalconnections.
Donotuseinanycasesolvents,detergents,alcoholicorabrasive
productsasthosematerialswilldamagetheplasticorelectrical
contacts.
Avoidexposingthereadertodirectsunlight.
Donotinsert
anythingbutcardsintothesmartcardreaderslot.
Troubleshooting
Moby/8500doesnotturnon:
Batterylevelistoolow.
ChecktheUSBconnection.
CheckthatthewallplugPSUisfullyinsertedintheelectrical
socket.
If Moby/8500 fails to establish Bluetooth Connection with your mobile
app:
CheckifMoby/8500ispairedtoyourmobiledeviceusingthe
mobileapp.
CheckifBluetoothonyourmobiledeviceinON.
Unpairthereaderfromyourmobiledevice’ssystemBluetooth
Settings,andpairthereaderagain
fromyourmobileapp(referto
thepairinguserguide).
Seektechnicalsupport.
MakesurethepairingofMoby/8500withthedeviceisdonefrom
the mobile payment application and not the device’s system
settings.
Cardsarenotread
Checkthatthemagneticcardisswipedcorrectly(with
magnetic
stripeinsertedintotheslot&facingtowardsthekeypad).
Swipeagainthecardwithaconstantmovement.
Check that the magnetic stripe is not damaged, grooved or
cracked.
Make sure you have inserted correctly the smart card into the
smartcardreader and thatthecard
has beenremovedafterthe
transaction.
