Why does my Ingersoll-Rand EH 1800 Dryer have an elevated dew point?

If your Ingersoll-Rand Dryer has an elevated dew point, several factors could be the cause. It might be due to an insufficient purge rate, so you should check the purge flow settings and piping for obstructions, cleaning them as necessary. Low inlet air pressure could also be the culprit, so verify the pressure source. Other potential causes include a flow rate higher than the design condition (check the flow rate), an inlet temperature exceeding the design condition (inspect and service the aftercooler), water entering the desiccant bed (check the air/moisture separator and pre-filter, replacing the desiccant if needed), or desiccant contaminated by oil (install a pre-filter and replace the desiccant).
