The INMOTION L8 E-Scooter is a stylish, efficient, and economical personal transportation product designed to provide a wonderful riding experience. It features a futuristic appearance, superb shock mitigation, and a powerful Lithium battery.
The L8 E-Scooter is primarily designed for personal urban mobility. It allows users to travel short to medium distances with ease and convenience. The scooter is equipped with an accelerator for speed control and a brake system for deceleration and stopping. It also features a display screen that provides real-time information about its operational status, including battery life, speed, and Bluetooth connection status. The scooter can be folded for easy storage and transport.
To begin using the L8 E-Scooter, users must first unfold it. This involves loosening a quick-release wrench, pressing down a folding wrench, and lifting the front rod until it locks into place. The handlebars also need to be unfolded by opening the quick spanner, rotating the hand out to the side, inserting it into the middle, and pushing back the quick spanner.
Once unfolded, the scooter can be powered on. The front decorative lights and taillights will illuminate. For beginners, it's recommended to hold the handlebar with both hands, step on the footboard with one foot, and use the other foot to slide forward to gain initial velocity. Once the speed control is activated, the scooter can be accelerated by pressing the throttle button. Both feet should then be placed on the footboard in a staggered position, maintaining an upright posture and balance. Acceleration should be gradual, especially for beginners. The scooter should not be turned in narrow spaces due to its length. To decelerate or stop, the brake lever should be pressed, or the rear fender can be stepped on. Pressing the brake automatically invalidates the accelerator. The scooter will automatically shut down if there's no operation within one minute.
The L8 E-Scooter can be paired with the INMOTION APP, a mobile application designed to control the scooter, connect with other users, and access various features. The app allows users to lock/unlock the scooter, view status indicators (speed, range, battery), adjust parameters like lighting color and maximum speed, and perform fault detection. It also facilitates communication with service staff for problem-solving and firmware updates. The scooter supports different working modes, including "Accelerator mode" (default), "Locked mode" (where the throttle is disabled until released via the app), and "Error handling mode" (activated automatically when an error is detected, bringing the scooter to a stop with flashing red lights).
Proper care and maintenance are crucial for extending the lifespan and ensuring the safe operation of the L8 E-Scooter.
Storage: The scooter should be stored in dry places with suitable humidity and temperature. It's important to avoid strong sunlight or high temperatures (above 50°C) as this can harm battery performance. The battery will discharge automatically even when not powered on, so it's recommended to monitor its capacity every three months and recharge it to prevent over-discharging. Fully charging the scooter before long-term storage is also advised.
Charging: The charging port is located on the scooter's footboard. Before charging, ensure the port is dry. Insert the power cable, and the charger indicator will turn red during charging and green when fully charged. Over-charging should be avoided. Only the original manufacturer's battery, charger, and power cable should be used. Charging should occur in a well-ventilated and dry environment, away from water, sharp, or hot objects. Regular visual inspection of the charger and cable is recommended.
Cleaning: Before cleaning, power off the scooter, unplug the charging wire, and cover the charging port to prevent water splash. The outer cover can be cleaned with soapy water and a soft cloth. High-pressure water guns should not be used. The scooter has an IP54 waterproof grade, meaning it's spill and dust resistant, but it should not be dipped in water to avoid permanent damage.
Tires: The tire pressure should be regularly checked and refilled to ensure it's normal. New tires should be purchased from the original point of sale.
Handlebar: If the handlebars become loose, an M4 six-angle wrench can be used to tighten the two screws on the bottom side of the quick-release wrench.
Recycling: Battery and electric components should not be treated as general rubbish. The scooter and its components (especially the battery) should be recycled through authorized processing facilities to prevent environmental pollution.
