IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONSDIRECTIONS
When using electrical appliances, especially
when children are present, basic safety
precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
KEEP AWAY FROM WATER.
DANGER As with most electrical
appliances, electrical parts are electrically
live even when the switch is o. To reduce
the risk of death by electric shock:
WARNING Do not use this appliance
near bathtubs, showers, basins or
other vessels containing water.
WARNING to reduce the risk of burns, fires,
electrical shock, death, injury or damage
to property:
1. Always unplug unit immediately
after use. Especially when used in a
bathroom.
2. Do not use while bathing or showering.
3. Do not place or store the appliance
where it can fall or be pulled into a
tub, toilet or sink; or any other water
source.
4. Do not use this appliance near a bath
tub, washbasin, or other vessel filled
with water or any other liquid.
5. If an appliance falls into water, unplug
it immediately. Do not reach into water.
6. Do not use if plug is loose in the outlet,
as there may be a risk of fire, electrical
shock, electrical shortage, and burning.
7. When not in use, your styling brush
should be disconnected and stored
in a safe, dry location, out of reach
of children. Allow appliance to cool
before storing.
8. The appliance should never be left
unattended when plugged in.
9. Use the appliance for its intended
purpose as described in this
manual. Do not use attachments not
recommended by the manufacturer.
10. Handle cord carefully for longer life
and do not put any stress on the cord
where it enters the handle. Avoid
jerking, twisting or straining especially
at the plug connections.
11. NEVER operate the appliance if it has
a damaged cord or plug, if it is not
working properly, or if it has been
crashed, damaged, or dropped into
water, return the appliance to a service
To turn the device on, plug it into an electrical outlet and press the Power
Button located on the handle until the LED Temperature Indicator Lights are
illuminated. GLOSSIE will always turn on at 230°C. Press the Power Button
again to select the desired temperature as indicated by the LED Temperature
Indicator Lights. Keep pressing the Power Button to cycle through the
adjustable temperature settings. The lights will flash until the selected
temperature is achieved.
The GLOSSIE Ceramic Styling Brush has 4 Heat Settings: 150°C, 176°C, 205°C,
230°C. The tool is on the Max temperature setting when all of the LED
Temperature Indicator Lights are lit.
Recommended temperatures by hair type:
HAIR TYPE SETTING TEMPERATURE
Thick, Coarse, Curly High/Max 230°C
Normal, Medium, Wavy Medium/High 176°C - 205°C
Fine, Thin Low 150°C
For best results, use the Precision Press when styling hair. To release the
Precision Press styling arm, slide the chrome switch. Place sections of hair
against the heated plates and close the Precision Press with your hand. As you
glide the brush down strands, the Precision Press provides tension to smooth
and straighten hair more quickly, from root to tip. For quick touch ups, close
the styling arm and secure it by sliding the chrome switch. GLOSSIE can be
used with the Precision Press closed.
When you are done using the tool, press the Power Button until all of the LED
lights are o. If you forget to turn o your GLOSSIE Ceramic Styling Brush, the
Automatic Shut O will turn the device o after 60 minutes. To reactivate the
device, press the Power Button.

12. Keep this product and the cord away
from water and heated surfaces.
Do not wrap the cord around the
appliance since this will cause the cord
to wear prematurely and break.
13. Keep heated surfaces clean and
free from dust, dirt and hair spray.
If cleaning becomes necessary,
disconnect the appliance from the
power source and let it cool. Wipe the
exterior with a damp cloth.
14. Never use while sleeping.
15. Never insert any object into the styling
brush.
16. Do not use outdoors or operate
where aerosol (spray) products are
being used or where oxygen is being
administered.
17. Attachments may be hot during use.
Allow them to cool before handling.
18. Do not place the heated styling brush
directly on any surface while it is hot
or plugged in.
19. Do not use an extension cord with this
appliance.
20. Do not operate with a voltage
converter.
21. Children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
22. The appliance is not to be used by
persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards
involved.
23. Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children without
supervision.
24. This appliance can be used by children
aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards
involved.
25. Children shall not play with the
appliance.
