SPECIFICATION CLARIFICATIONS
The Specification Clarifications listed in this section apply to the Intel
®
Desktop Board D865PERL Technical
Product Specification
(Order Number C31764). All Specification Clarifications will be incorporated into a
future version of that specification.
1. Add Note That Specifies Enhanced Mode IDE/Serial ATA
Requirements to Section 3.3.2, PCI IDE Support
In section 3.3.2, PCI IDE Support, the following note will be added.
✏ NOTE
The Enhanced mode IDE/Serial ATA BIOS option requires support for resources
up to a maximum six devices, and has been tested with Windows 2000 and
Windows XP. This BIOS option should be set to Legacy mode when used with
operating systems that support a maximum of two IDE channels (four devices).
