7. Dispose of the battery according to local ordinance.
8. Remove the new battery from its package.
9. Being careful to observe the correct polarity, insert the battery into the battery socket. The “+” side of the battery must
face the lever side of the battery socket, towards the rear USB/NIC ports.
10. Reinstall and reconnect any parts you removed or disconnected to reach the processor sockets. See the documentation
that came with your chassis for instructions on installing chassis components.
11. Replace the chassis cover and reconnect the AC power cord. See the documentation that came with your chassis for
instructions on installing the cover.
12. Run the BIOS Setup utility to restore the configuration settings to the real-time clock (RTC).
