What to do if the Intex C1000 FR Swimming Pool filter motor fails to start?
    • M
      Matthew CoxAug 17, 2025
If the Intex Swimming Pool filter motor won't start, ensure it's properly plugged into a 3-wire outlet protected by a Class A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) or RCD. Also, check if the GFCI/RCD circuit breaker has tripped and reset it. If it repeatedly trips, there may be an electrical defect requiring an electrician. If the motor is too hot, let it cool down before restarting.

Why is the Intex C1000 FR filter not pumping water or has very slow flow?
    • S
      Sean RobinsonAug 19, 2025
If your Intex Swimming Pool filter isn’t pumping water or the flow is very slow, start by clearing any obstructions in the intake hose by discharging it inside the pool wall. Check for air leaks on the intake line by tightening hose nuts and inspecting hoses for damage, also check pool water level. Clean the pre-filtering basket more often if the pool is excessively dirty. Backwash the filter if the sand media is clogged with dirt. Ensure the nozzle is at the upper position of the pool inlet and the strainer at the lower position of the pool outlet. Remove about 1” of sand if there's crusting or caking on the filtering sand surface. Remove any pool vacuuming device attached to the system line. Finally, ensure the inlet threaded air connector is connected to the pool inlet upper hole.

      Erin BurgessAug 22, 2025
If the Intex Swimming Pool filter isn’t cleaning the pool, adjust the chlorine and pH levels. Ensure the filter tank is loaded with filter sand according to the “sand loading instructions”. Set the 6-way valve to the “FILTER” position. If the pool is excessively dirty, operate the filter for longer periods. Clean the strainer screen at the inlet if it's restricting water flow.

How to fix an Intex Swimming Pool inlet threaded air connector/air jet valve leak?
    • D
      David BlackburnSep 2, 2025
If the inlet threaded air connector or air jet valve is leaking on your Intex Swimming Pool, tighten or reinstall the plunger valve to ensure it is well-fitted. Tighten the air jet valve and make sure it’s facing up. If the air jet valve internal seal is blocked, turn the pump ON and run for a few seconds, then turn OFF, repeat 3 times. If the air jet valve internal seal is dirty, remove the air jet valve, flush dirt out with water, and replace the valve back. If the air jet valve is broken, replace it with a new one.
