What to do if the electric actuator fails on my Invacare Birdie EVO Lifting Systems?
- SShelly JonesAug 22, 2025
If the electric actuator on your Invacare Lifting Systems fails to lift or the legs don't open when you press the button, here are some things to check: * Make sure the hand control or actuator connector is properly connected. * Charge the batteries if they are low. * Ensure the RED emergency stop button is not pressed IN; rotate it CLOCKWISE until it pops out. * Verify the battery is correctly connected to the control unit. * Disconnect the power cord from the power outlet, if connected. If the connecting terminals are damaged or the boom/leg actuator is worn, you may need to replace the hand control, control unit, or actuator.
