If using one of the wall mounts , do not install a wall mount on top of steel – this can
create too much magnetic flux & drain the battery quickly.
If you would like to mount the xPRESS onto a steel surface just use the keypad by
itself with no mount & it will attached magnetically without a problem. Wall mounts
are ideal for plaster , wood , drywall etc with no issue.
Don’t attach the wall plate adaptor to the steel
object – in this case a fridge & then mount the
keypad – this will drain the battery quickly .
Don’t attach Peel & stick adaptor to the steel object –
in this case a fridge & then mount the keypad – this
will drain the battery quickly .
Attach the keypad directly to the steel object – in this
case a fridge with no other mount & the keypad will
magnetically attach & not drain the battery.
Remember the xPRESS keypad operates on 2.4 GHz networks only . If you are
having trouble with the keypad connecting check you are connecting to a 2.4GHz
network. Also if the battery is critically low ( at this point you would have a red
flashing light on the keypad to warn you of this ) the keypad may have trouble
connecting to some networks - charging the keypad should solve this.
