What to do if there is no sound from IRiver CD Player?
    • J
      John HubbardAug 13, 2025
If your IRiver CD Player is not producing any sound or you are hearing noise, first, ensure that the volume isn't set to '0'. Next, check that the earphones or remote plug are firmly connected and that the plug is clean. If the plug is dirty, gently clean it with a dry, soft cloth. Also, corrupted MP3 or WMA files may cause static noise or sound cut-offs. Finally, continuous and excessive shock may prevent proper playback of MP3, WMA, and audio CDs.

If your IRiver CD Player displays 'No DISC' on the LCD, first ensure that a CD is properly inserted. Check if the CD is dirty or defective; if so, clean it or try a new one. Make sure the CD is inserted with the label side facing up. Inspect the optical lens for dirt and gently remove it with a soft cloth. If moisture condensation has occurred, leave the CD player aside for several hours until it evaporates. If using a CD-RW, try burning the disc at a lower speed. Finally, for packet write discs, ensure full formatting is done.
