The iROCKER ULTRA™ Series paddle board is a travel-friendly, inflatable stand-up paddle board designed for compact convenience and ease of use. This owner's manual provides comprehensive instructions for inflating, deflating, installing fins, using the adjustable paddle, transporting, folding, storing, maintaining, and repairing the board, along with important safety guidelines and warranty information.
The iROCKER ULTRA™ Series paddle board serves as a versatile watercraft for various paddle boarding activities. Its inflatable design allows for compact storage and transport, making it ideal for users who prioritize portability. The board is engineered to provide stability and maneuverability on the water, suitable for a range of skill levels.
The board is inflated using a 12V electric pump, which can be powered by a vehicle's cigarette lighter or a 12V battery using alligator clips. The pump features an LCD display to set the desired PSI, with a recommended pressure of 15 PSI, although the board can hold up to 25 PSI. The inflation hose is specifically designed to fit iROCKER and BLACKFIN boards. To inflate, connect the pump to a power source, set the PSI between 15 and 23, connect the hose to the board, and press the power button. Once the ideal PSI is reached, disconnect the hose. For deflation, the air valve has an OPEN/DOWN position to release air and a CLOSED/UP position to seal it.
The iROCKER ULTRA™ Series board comes with two removable tethered flip-lock nylon fins, enhancing maneuverability and control. To install, ensure the fin box lock is in the OPEN/UP position. Insert the front of the fin into the notched section of the fin box, then rock it back and down until it's securely in place. Finally, set the lock lever to the CLOSED/DOWN position and confirm the fin is securely attached before paddling. To tether the fin, insert the tether-lock into the fin and turn it toward the locked icon until it snaps into position. To release, turn it toward the unlocked icon and remove.
The board is equipped with three built-in ACTION MOUNTS with M8 size thread, allowing users to customize their board with various accessories. It is crucial to attach accessories after inflating the board and to remove them before deflating to prevent damage.
The board includes a 5-piece adjustable paddle designed for compact convenience. An important feature is the presence of Styrofoam within the paddle shaft, which provides buoyancy and allows the paddle to float. Users are explicitly warned not to remove this Styrofoam. To adjust the paddle length, grab the notched sides of the C-clamp and firmly pull it towards you to open. Once the desired length is set, apply gentle thumb pressure to press the C-clamp shut, taking care not to pinch fingers.
For transport, it is critical not to transport the board while inflated. The board is designed for compact storage and travel when deflated. Transporting an inflated board on top of a vehicle is not recommended as it can travel poorly due to lack of weight, potentially causing damage or warping not covered by warranty. When transporting the deflated board, users should avoid sharp objects to prevent punctures, which are also not covered by warranty. Additionally, the board should be kept clear of heat-producing items like camp stoves or gas lamps, as heat damage is not covered by warranty.
Before folding for storage, the board must be completely dry to prevent mildew or mold damage. To fold, lay the deflated board deck-side up on a flat surface. Start folding tightly from the nose, ensuring the air valve is in the OPEN/DOWN position. Continue folding until the board is completely rolled up. Once rolled, set the air valve to the CLOSED/UP position, then wrap the strap around the board and place it in the bag. It is important to avoid standing the rolled board on its side on rough surfaces like concrete or rocks, as this can damage the first layer of the rail.
Prolonged heat exposure is a significant concern. The paddle board should never be left exposed to direct sunlight when out of the water. It should always be stored in the shade when not in use. If temporary exposure to direct sunlight during transport or storage is unavoidable, it is safest to keep the bottom facing up. Prolonged sun exposure, even while paddle boarding, can impact the integrity of the board materials, and damage from heat is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
For general maintenance, sun, sand, and saltwater can degrade materials over time. After each use, the board should be rinsed off with fresh water to remove sand and saltwater deposits, then washed with soap and water. It should be stored in a cool, dry environment. Carry handles should be allowed to dry completely before storing the board for a prolonged period.
The board comes with an emergency repair kit that includes a valve wrench and repair patches for small leaks and tears. Repair glue is not included due to shipping restrictions but can be purchased separately. For best results, PVC adhesive is recommended. To repair, completely deflate the board. Thoroughly clean the surface around the leak and the matte-finish side of the repair patch with rubbing alcohol, ensuring both surfaces are free of moisture, oil, and debris. Apply repair glue carefully and evenly to both the paddle board surface and the entire matte-finish side of the repair patch. For optimal sealing, it is recommended to clamp the patch to the board for 12-24 hours. The repair glue should be allowed to dry for at least 24 hours before using the paddle board. After any repair, the board should always be tested in shallow water.
Users must follow local boating laws and regulations and always paddle with a U.S. Coast Guard approved personal flotation device (PFD). Paddle boarding should be avoided in severe weather or water conditions that could inhibit steering or safe return to shore. Paddling before dawn, after sunset, or in poor lighting conditions that impair visibility is also discouraged. Minors should always use the product under adult supervision, and users should never operate the product beyond their own skills or ability.
