Installthetoiletseatandlidassemblyonthechinabowl
withthefastenersprovidedandpositionthetoiletinits
desiredlocation.Whenlocatingthetoilet,ensurethere
isadequateclearanceabovethebowlsotheseatand
lid assembly can rotate to its fully open position and
remain open on its own. Once the exact position has
been determined, mark the location of the two toilet
mounting holes on the toilet mounting surface and
move the toilet temporarily out of the way. When
securingthetoilettoaplywoodunderlaymentbelowa
layeroffiberglass,toavoidcrackingthefiberglass,drill
a5/16"(8mm)holethroughjustthefiberglasslayerto
provideclearanceforthescrewthreadsandshank.Drill
a3/16"(5mm)pilotholetoacceptthethreadedportion
ofthetoiletholddownscrewsetprovided.Itisgenerally
besttowaituntilthetoiletisreadytobeinstalledforthe
finaltimebeforescrewingtheholddownscrewsintothe
mountingsurface.
The PAR-MAX pump should be mounted to a solid
mounting surface. It should be secured with four
fastenersthroughtherubbergrommetsthatsnapinto
the pump’s base. Do not over-tighten the mounting
screwsandcrushthegrommetssuchthattheywillnot
absorb vibration. The pump may be mounted in any
position;however,ifmountingittoaverticalsurfaceit
shouldbeorientedsowaterdrippingfromalooseport
connection will notdripdownonthemotor. Plumbing
runsshouldbekeptasshortandstraightaspossible.
Allplumbingshouldbecompletedwithquality3/4"(19
mm)hosethatwillnotcollapseorkink.Routetheinlet
hosefroma3/4"(19mm) throughhullandseacock
fittinglocatedwellbelowthewaterline(andwellforward
ofanydischargethroughhulls,ifinstalled)tothepump
inletport.
Ensure the inlet hose passes through an accessible
location(preferablyabovethevessel’swater-line)that
will allow for the installation of the Toilet Pumpgard
strainer where it can be periodically inspected and
cleaned of debris. The Pumpgard strainer should be
securedwithtwofastenerstoasolidmountingsurface
withtheflowarrowpointingtowardsthepump.Theinlet
hose should be cut and each end attached to the
strainer’s ports. Connect the hose from the discharge
portofthestrainertothePAR-MAXpump’sinletport.
Connect another length of hose from the pump’s
dischargeporttotheareaatthebackoftheDesigner
StyledToilet withadequatelengthto connectwiththe
3/4"(19mm)hosebarbatthebackofthechinabowl.

ormaybebelowthewaterlineatanyangleofheelor
trim, it must be intalled with properly positioned
ventedloops.Failuretodosocanresultinflooding
whichcancauselossofpropertyandlife.
Ifthetoiletisinstalledbelowthevessel’swaterline,inorder
topreventasiphonactionfromfillingthetoilet,aproperly
positioned ventedloop fitting must be installed between
thePAR-MAXpumpandthebackofthetoiletbowl.
The vented loop fitting must be secured in a location
thatremainsatleast6-8inches(15-20cm)abovethe
waterlineatallanglesofheelandtrim(seediagram).
Thetoiletdischargeportissizedfor1"(25mm)hose.
Thedischargehoseshouldbeaqualitygradereinforced
hosesuitableforwasteapplications.Routethedischarge
hosetotheholdingtankinthemostdirectwaywithas
fewbendsaspossible.Toretainsomewaterinthebowl,
itisbesttoloopthedischargehoseupabout8-10inches
(15-20cm)asclosetothetoiletaspracticalthenonto
the holding tank. Providing adequate length of hose to
includesuchaloopalsowillprovidetheabilitytomovethe
toiletoutawayfromthebulkheaditbuttsagainsttocomplete
thehoseconnections.Itisbesttoavoidanydipsorlowspots
inthedischargeplumbingthatcanactaswatertrapsand
collectwaste.Ifthisoccurs,wastecansolidifyandcausea
dischargeblockage.
