ASSEMBLY/SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS
5. Route the throttle cable K across the top left side
of the lower handle under the fuel tank C.
NOTE: Route the wiring harness on the left side,
under the tank for units with Kohler engines.
Route the wiring harness on the right side, under
the tank for units with Briggs & Stratton engines.
6. Bolt fuel tank to lower handle using
(4) 3/8-16X3/4" bolts, (4) lockwashers and (4)
flatwashers at locations L.
NOTE: Tighten all fuel tank bolts firmly but do
not overtighten or damage to the fuel tank
threads may result.
4. Attach gear shift lever A removed in Step 2 to
the lower shift arm H using (1) 5/16-18x1 bolt
and (1) 5/16-18 whizlock nut. Shift the lever to
the neutral position and verify that the lever is
centered in the slot. If not, loosen the bolt and
reposition lever. Retighten bolt.
GEARBOX ADJUSTMENT NOTE: The detents
between gears and at neutral may be made more
positive by turning set screw J clockwise. Do
not turn set screw more than two turns below
flush with the housing.
