If you decide to attach the MaxiJacuzzi to the drain, it is ad-
visable to connect upstream from the valve (for greater flow ca-
pacity) and to install a shutter valve near the drain in an ac-
cessible area (
2, detail D).
CAUTION
If the MaxiJacuzzi
®
is connected to the city mains
that provide drinking water for periodic filling, con-
tact local authorities first in order to ascertain
compliance with anti-pollution laws in each na-
tion. For EC countries, refer to standard EN 1717.
• For connection to the electrical mains, refer to the instructions
in the pre-installation sheet and the chapter “Electrical connec-
tions”. Please remember that the mains circuit breaker must be
located in an area that is safe and accessible to the user.
Electrical connections
• Make the connection on the terminal board as shown in
4.
NOTE: if power is provided with a double single-phase
line (220-240 V 2+N~) or with a three-phase line with a
neutral wire (380-415 V 3+N~), before making the con-
nection you must cut the indicated jumpers, located n-
ear the power supply terminal block.
For the characteristics of the cables, switches etc., consult the
pre-installation sheet provided, in particular the ELECTRICAL
SAFETY chapter.
• The installer must use cables with a suitable cross-section,
with minimum characteristics equivalent to type H 05 VV-F.
WARNING
The lead sections must take account not only the
system's absorption but also the cable path and
distances, the chosen protection systems, and the
current specific regulations for fixed electrical sys-
tems in the country where the MaxiJacuzzi
®
is in-
stalled. The electrical box terminal board is de-
signed for cables with sections up to 12 mm
2
.
• To guarantee a degree of protection against water jets in com-
pliance with regulations and to make connection to the electric
mains easier whatever the type of cable section used, a cable
gland has been attached to the electric wiring box.
• The installer must comply with the above regulations, as well
as use watertight connectors at connection points and
must guarantee compliance with the specific norms for
the systems engineering that are in force in the country
in which the MaxiJacuzzi
®
is installed.
• The installer must only perform operations related to passing
the cable(s) and performing the lead connections: “phase” on ter-
minals L1 and if needed L2 and L3, “neutral” to terminal N e
“earth” to the relative terminal designated with the symbol
(Fig. 4). Once the connection has been made, the installer must
re-close the cover and tighten the cable gland in order to ensure
protection against jets of water.
It is mandatory to comply with this instruction. Any other proce-
dure is prohibited.
• The cable path, choice of materials and most suitable installa-
tion solutions are left to the professional knowledge and expe-
rience of the installer; it is his responsibility to guarantee and cer-
tify the installation.
JACUZZI EUROPE S.p.A. denies all responsibility:

ried out are not complied with.
If the instructions for installation and maintenance contained
in this manual are not followed.
If unsuitable and/or uncertified materials are used for instal-
lation.
The MaxiJacuzzi
®
is not installed in compliance with the above
provisions.
If incorrect operations are performed that reduce the level of
protection of the electrical equipment against water jets, mod-
ify the protection against electrocution due to direct or indirect
contact, or produce abnormal conditions of insulation, current
