The Master Control Geographic is mechanically
programmed according to GMT, the international
time system.
According to this system, the earth is divided
into 24 time zones with a breadth of 15 degrees
of longitude (see table below). In each of these
time zones, the official time is the same and it
changes by one hour when moving from one
zone to the next.
