Charging the speaker is so easy you’ve probably figured it out by now, but just in case, you’ve got two options: you can charge it
using your computer or a wall outlet. The Classic 2.0 needs about 2 hours for up to 5 hours of party time.
1. The cord that came with the speaker — the
one with the USB on one end and the micro
USB on the other — will work with your
computer.
2. If you want to use the wall outlet, you’ll need
to pick up a power cord with a micro USB the
next time you’re at the store, or use any USB AC
adapter, including the one for your cell phone.

CONNECTION — IT’S A SETUP
Like any amazing couple, this one starts with a connection — one
between your device and the speaker’s Bluetooth. Here’s how it works:
1. Make sure the smartphone, tablet, or computer you’re using with the
speaker has Bluetooth.
2. Turn on the speaker (press and hold the power button for 3 seconds)
and look for the little blinking light.
3. Do whatever your device needs you to do on its end.
4. Look for JAM Classic 2.0 in your device’s Bluetooth list or click YES.

5. Now hit PLAY on your speaker and crank it up — or down if you’re lame.
The device and Bluetooth will find each other every time, as long as the
speaker is set to Bluetooth and your device’s Bluetooth is, you know, on.
If you’re connecting to a computer, you may have some extra steps on that
end. You’ll have to get that information from the computer company.
Depending on your device, you may be prompted to enter a pairing code. If
prompted, enter “0000” as the code.
To disable pairing of existing device and pair a new device press and hold
the + and - button for 5 seconds to activate pairing mode.
Note: If you turn on your Classic 2.0 but haven’t started the party yet, it will
automatically power off after 2 minutes of unpaired inactivity.
Note: Once you've paired, if you pause the party for 15 minutes or more,
the JAM Classic 2.0 will automatically shut off to preserve battery power.

The JAM Classic 2.0 is a portable Bluetooth speaker designed for easy connectivity and on-the-go audio. Its primary function is to play music wirelessly from Bluetooth-enabled devices such as smartphones, tablets, or computers. It also features an auxiliary input for connecting older audio devices and includes a built-in speakerphone function for hands-free calls.

Usage Features:

Charging:

The speaker can be charged in two ways:

• Via Computer: Use the included USB to micro USB cord to connect the speaker to your computer.
• Via Wall Outlet: Use a micro USB power cord (not included) or any USB AC adapter (like a cell phone charger) to connect the speaker to a wall outlet. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours and provides up to 5 hours of playback time.

Controls:

The speaker features several physical controls for easy operation:

• Power Button: Press and hold for 3 seconds to power the speaker on or off.
• Battery Indicator: A dedicated button allows you to check the current battery level.
• Volume Down / Previous Track: Decreases the volume or skips to the previous track.
• Play & Pause / Answer & Hang Up: Plays or pauses music, and answers or ends phone calls.
• Volume Up / Next Track: Increases the volume or skips to the next track.

LED Indicators:

The speaker uses LED lights to communicate its status:

• Bluetooth Light:
  • Blinking: Indicates pairing mode.
  • Solid: Indicates a connected Bluetooth device.
• Battery Light:
  • Blinking: Indicates low battery.
  • Solid (while charging): Indicates the device is charging.
  • Solid (when fully charged): Indicates the device is ready to party.
• Aux-In Mode: A specific light indicates when the speaker is in auxiliary input mode.

Bluetooth Connection:

Connecting your device to the JAM Classic 2.0 is a straightforward process:

1. Ensure your smartphone, tablet, or computer has Bluetooth enabled.
2. Turn on the speaker by pressing and holding the power button for 3 seconds. The Bluetooth light will blink, indicating it's in pairing mode.
3. On your device, search for Bluetooth devices.
4. Select "JAM Classic 2.0" from the list. If prompted for a pairing code, enter "0000". Once paired, the speaker and your device will automatically connect in the future as long as both Bluetooth functions are active. To pair a new device or disable an existing pairing, press and hold the "+" and "-" buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds to activate pairing mode. The speaker will automatically power off after 2 minutes of unpaired inactivity to conserve battery. If music is paused for 15 minutes or more after pairing, the speaker will also shut off to save battery.

Auxiliary Input (Old-School Audio):

For devices without Bluetooth, the JAM Classic 2.0 can be connected via an auxiliary cable (not included):

1. Plug one end of the auxiliary cord into the speaker's auxiliary input and the other end into your device's headphone jack.
2. Turn on the speaker.
3. Play music from your device. Volume and playback control will be managed directly from your connected device.

Speakerphone Functionality:

The JAM Classic 2.0 doubles as a speakerphone for hands-free calls:

1. Ensure your phone is connected to the speaker via Bluetooth.
2. Answering/Ending a Call: Simply click the PLAY/PAUSE button on the speaker.
3. Ignoring a Call: Hold down the PLAY/PAUSE button for 3 seconds. When a call comes in, the speaker will automatically pause music before ringing. After the call ends, music resumes from where it left off. For outgoing calls, simply dial from your phone, and the Classic 2.0 will automatically handle the hands-free audio.

A detailed call handling chart is provided:

• 1st Incoming call:
  • Short Press Play/Pause: Pick up call.
  • Long Press Play/Pause: Reject call.
• On call:
  • Short Press Play/Pause: End call.
  • Long Press Play/Pause: Move call from speaker to device.
• 2nd Incoming call:
  • Short Press Play/Pause: Call 1 on hold, pick up call 2.
  • Long Press Play/Pause: Reject call 2.
• Both calls active:
  • Short Press Play/Pause: Hang up call 1, switch to call 2.
  • Long Press Play/Pause: Switch between 1st call and 2nd call.

Maintenance Features:

Cleaning:

To clean the speaker, use a soft, dry towel. Avoid using water, harsh cleaners, or any other solvents, as these can damage the internal mechanics of the device.

Safety and Regulatory Information:

The user guide includes important safeguards and regulatory compliance statements:

• FCC Compliance: Details the device's compliance with FCC rules, emphasizing that it must accept any interference received and may not cause harmful interference. It also advises on how to correct interference if it occurs.
