Ensure your device is connected to a wireless network and open the JAM app to begin the setup process.
Verify your phone uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and select your speaker from the list presented in the app.
Connect the speaker to the power adapter, plug into outlet, wait for LED, then enter your Wi-Fi network password.
LED turns solid blue after Wi-Fi connection; choose language for Alexa voice prompts.
Prompt to sign into your Amazon account for personalized Alexa features, or skip this step.
Option to create a new Amazon account and agree to Amazon's terms and conditions for the first-time login.
Option to reset the speaker to its original factory default settings.
Connect to Amazon Alexa by navigating to the music section, selecting the Alexa icon, and choosing your speaker.
Amazon account may take time to load; first-time logins require agreement to Amazon's terms.
Procedure to log out of your Amazon account via the music source screen and confirming the action.
Select speakers in the app to activate for Alexa by sliding the switch next to their name.
Press and hold the Alexa button in the app, speak your command, and release to get a response.
Look for the update icon next to your speaker and select Firmware Update from the menu.
Tap 'Download and Install' to update the speaker's firmware; an audible confirmation will follow completion.
Use a paperclip to press the reset button located on the back of the speaker.
Select 'Restore Factory Settings' from the Speaker Info screen within the JAM app.
