What to do if grain flow stoppage occurs in J&M 750?
    • L
      Lauren GainesJul 29, 2025
If you experience grain flow stoppage, it could be due to a sheared bolt in the drive dog. Replace the bolt, and engage the upper and lower flighting at a slow rate of speed. It may also happen if the upper and lower flightings are disengaging before the auger comes to a complete stop. Replace the bolt in the drive dog and always ensure the augers completely stop before engaging or disengaging the upper and lower flightings. Another cause might be a sheared PTO key; in this case, replace the key and tighten the set screw.

Why is the auger tube breaking away from the grain cart at the hinge area or the ram in the hydraulic folding cylinder is bent on my J&M Farm Equipment?

      iacostaAug 4, 2025
This issue occurs when the upper auger is extended in the upright position while the equipment is traveling in the field. Repair or replace the folding cylinder if necessary, and always remember to lower the auger to the field position after unloading.

What to do if the auger will not return to the down position or move from the stow position in J&M 750 Farm Equipment?
    • T
      Travis DennisAug 10, 2025
Several factors can prevent the auger from moving. First, a faulty check valve could be the issue, in which case you should replace it. Another possibility is a faulty lock and load solenoid. To check this, disconnect power to the lock and load; if the auger can then move, replace the solenoid. Also, the upper and lower flighting may be locked together, meaning the bearing on top of the upper auger flighting needs adjusting to have a 1/8” (0,32cm) gap between the bottom of the top bearing and the top of the upper tube housing when the auger is engaged. Ensure the feed gate is closed. Finally, the lock and load may not be operating correctly, so verify the limit switch on the feed gate indicator assembly is functioning properly.

What causes excessive vibration in J&M 750 Farm Equipment?

Excessive vibration could be due to a bent auger flighting or shaft. In this case, straighten or replace the auger flighting. Another potential cause is a bent drive shaft, which should be either replaced or straightened.

What to do if the hanger bushing assembly at the top of the lower auger flighting is hot in J&M 750 Farm Equipment?
    • M
      Madison BurgessAug 21, 2025
If the hanger bushing assembly is hot, it might be because the top of the hanger bushing assembly is rubbing against the drive dog. Loosen the two bolts and readjust the position of the hanger bushing assembly, then retighten the bolts. Alternatively, remove the lower flighting assembly and place a shim between the spline coupler and the gearbox.
