It is based on the award-winning, handmade flagship JangleBox compressor, offering a unique jangle guitar sound that captivated guitarists worldwide and continues to inspire new generations of players. This pedal is engineered to expand and explore a wide range of tonal possibilities, providing compression, sustain, and jangle effects.
The JangleBox Byrds 50TH operates with either a regular 9V battery or a 9V DC power adapter. The device features several controls to shape your sound: Gain, Attack, Dark, Normal, Bright, and an input/output. The pedal is designed for ease of use, allowing guitarists to quickly dial in their preferred sound.
To begin using the JangleBox Byrds 50TH, it is recommended to position both the Gain and Attack knobs at the "12:00 o'clock" mark. From this starting point, you can adjust the settings to achieve the desired compression. Since every guitar and amplifier combination is unique, experimentation with the JangleBox settings is encouraged to find the sound that best suits your preferences.
The Gain setting on the JangleBox Byrds 50TH adjusts both the volume and the amount of compression applied to your signal. Increasing the Gain will result in a louder output and more pronounced compression. The Attack setting controls the level or intensity of the compression. Adjusting the Attack knob allows you to fine-tune how quickly the compression engages and releases, influencing the punch and sustain of your notes.
The JangleBox Byrds 50TH also includes a Bright setting, which functions as a treble booster. Alternatively, it can be powered by a 9V DC power adapter with pin negative polarity, a 2.1 mm x 5.5 mm barrel, and a minimum current rating of 100 mA. If you choose to power the JangleBox with a 9V battery, it's important to note that the compression effect may decrease as the battery wears out. To replace the battery, you will need to remove the four screws located on the underside of the pedal.
The JangleBox LLC warrants that the JangleBox will be free from defects. If you believe your JangleBox has a defect, you must notify JangleBox LLC in writing within one year of delivery. If a defect is found by JangleBox LLC, their sole obligation under this warranty is to remedy the defect in a manner consistent with their regular business practices. This is a limited warranty, and JangleBox LLC makes no other express or implied warranties, specifically excluding all warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. JangleBox LLC also disclaims any liability for consequential, exemplary, or incidental damages resulting from the use of the JangleBox.
