Important preliminary information (only for use with m503, m2003):
Please don’t forget the brand-new JBL pH Sensor!
The kits are sold without a pH sensor in order to guarantee optimum reliability when using
the JBL ProFlora pH control included with the kit. Therefore, we recommend that you buy a
brand-new JBL pH Sensor at the same time. Your pet store will also stock these.

1 Safety instructions
Please read and note the following safety instructions to ensure safe and secure
handling of CO
2
storage bottles.
Carbon dioxide (CO
2
)
• Do not throw the bottle and do not expose to temperatures over 50°C!
• Do not open the bottle by force.
• The bottle must be upright when in use.
• For rellable bottles, only use with a JBL ProFlora m001 pressure regulator or another
pressure regulator with a W21.8 x 1/14“ threaded connection.
• For disposable bottles, only use with a JBL ProFlora u001 pressure regulator or another
pressure regulator with an M10 x 1 threaded connection.
• Rellable bottles: Do not completely empty the bottle. Rell only at an authorized CO
2
lling station.
• Only for use in an aquarium.
• CO
2
is heavier than air and has a suffocating effect: do not breathe in the gas.
• Keep out of the reach of children.
• Store the container in a well-ventilated room, not in a cellar.
• When transporting bottles individually: Secure the bottle against sliding or rolling. Ensure
that the valve is not damaged to avoid the danger of CO
2
leaking. Provide adequate venti-
lation in the vehicle e.g. air fan or open window.
