      If you're experiencing hum or buzz with your JBL speakers, it may be due to improper A/C grounding or ground loops. Try telescoping the audio ground by using an XLR/F to XLR/M adapter on one end, and re-route audio cables away from AC power and lighting cables. If you are using excessively long unbalanced cable runs, use the balanced outputs of your mixer or source equipment to drive your speakers or use a 'DI' direct injection box to convert your unbalanced equipment output to a balanced output. Also, check for improper system gain structure and review the Owner’s Manual for your system setup and adjust controls as needed, checking input sensitivity gain.

      If you're getting no sound when connecting a microphone directly to the MIC input of your JBL PRX800W speakers, it might be because the microphone requires 48V phantom power, which these speakers do not supply. Switch to a dynamic microphone, use a battery in the microphone if possible, or use an external phantom power supply.
