Why won't my JCB Pressure Washer engine start?
- JJeffrey HoganAug 5, 2025
If your JCB Pressure Washer's engine won't start, there are several potential causes. First, ensure the fuel valve is in the ON position. Next, check that the choke lever is in the CLOSED position, unless the engine is already warm. Confirm the ignition switch is turned to ON. Also, check the fuel level and refuel if necessary. If the fuel is old or contaminated, drain the fuel tank and carburettor and refuel with fresh gasoline. Inspect the spark plug: it may need to be gapped or replaced. If the spark plug is wet with fuel, dry and reinstall it, then start the engine with the throttle lever in the FAST position. Finally, the fuel filter may be clogged, or there may be a carburettor or ignition malfunction, or stuck valves, in which case you should replace or repair the faulty components.
