ENGLISH 7
Specially designed for didactic applications, it delivers sinusoidal, triangular
and rectangular output signals whose frequency can be adjusted in 5 ranges
(4 by push-button, and 1 by pressing simultaneously on the 2 lower range
buttons) from 1 Hz to 110 KHz.
A 10 turns potentiometer enables, within in each range, the display of the
frequency with great accuracy.
• Overlapping of ranges.
• The output voltage is adjustable from 0 to 20 V peak to peak, with
attenuation by push-button 1 - 1/10 - 1/100.
• The very low output impedance (50 Ω) is particularly useful for
teaching students in the last three years of secondary school.
• A DC voltage (offset) may be added or subtracted from the signal
with a continuous setting between 0 and 5 V.
• An associated LF amplifier, on the GF3 model, may be used, for
example, to drive a loud speaker.
• The modulation of frequency and amplitude is possible on the GF4
model (without amplifier).
3 Commissioning
The device is delivered ready for use at 220-230 Volts.
To connect it to 115 Volts, rotate the voltage selector placed under the
device. Stick a label on the device reading "115 Volts".
The indicator lamp must come on when the device is energised.
It is recommended to use the device after a minimum heating time, which
allows the characteristics to be conserved: 15 min
