Function Description:
The JingHao JH-W3 Hearing Aids are designed to amplify sound to assist individuals with mild to moderate hearing impairment. They are self-fitting, allowing users to adjust settings to meet their specific hearing needs without the requirement of pre-programming or a professional hearing test. The devices utilize 4-channel wide dynamic range compression to make conversations easier without making loud sounds too loud. They also feature noise reduction to make steady noises (like vacuum cleaners or air conditioners) less loud, and user-selectable directional microphones to emphasize sounds from in front, making conversations in noisy places easier. Feedback (whistling) is reduced. The hearing aids are self-tuned by the user either via an app on a smart device (phone or tablet) or by using the on-device controls; individual hearing thresholds are not required to personalize the amplification settings.

Usage Features:
The JH-W3 hearing aids are designed for ease of use and personalization through the "Smart Hearing" app, compatible with Android and iOS devices.
- App Control: The "Smart Hearing" app allows users to adjust volume settings, perform a hearing test, and customize hearing mode programs.
- Device Connection: Users can connect the hearing aids to their smartphone via Bluetooth. The app displays the connection status and battery charge level for each device.
- Hearing Modes: The hearing aids offer 4 different hearing modes: Quiet, Social, Noise Reduction, and Restaurant. These can be cycled through using a button on the device or selected via the app. The devices have a memory function to recall the previously tuned hearing mode.
- Volume Adjustment: Volume can be adjusted via a wheel on the hearing aid (0-3, minimum to maximum) or through the app. The volume wheel also functions as an on/off control.
- Self-Fitting Process: The app guides users through a hearing test in a quiet environment. Based on the test results, the app automatically configures the hearing aids to match the user's hearing loss characteristics. Users can save these settings and rename the files.
- Enhancement Settings: The app includes "Enhancement" settings with five functions:
- Auto-Setting: Configures hearing aids to a specific pre-saved audiogram setting.
- Noise Reduction: Adaptive settings based on the environment (Street, Restaurant, Home).
- Directional: Selects appropriate directional modes (e.g., Meeting Mode) to focus on sounds from specific directions.
- Equalizer: Allows professional users to adjust frequency bars to appropriate decibel values, saving and applying these adjustments to the hearing aid.
- MPO (Maximum Power Output): Adjusts the maximum output level for each ear to prevent sounds from becoming too loud.
- Device Management: The "My Devices" section in the app allows users to view device information, find a lost device by making it beep loudly, and perform a factory reset.
- Language Settings: The app supports English and Chinese, with the option to change the display language.
- Eartip Customization: The hearing aids come with different sizes and types of eartips (open and closed). Open eartips are default for first-time setup, while closed eartips provide more bass and allow for higher World Volume settings, helping to reduce whistling. Users are encouraged to try different eartip sizes for optimal comfort and sound quality.
Maintenance Features:
Proper care and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and performance of the JingHao JH-W3 Hearing Aids.
- Daily Cleaning: Wipe devices clean daily with a soft cloth or tissue.
- Humidity Control: Use a drying kit to prevent damage from excess humidity or perspiration.
- Storage: Store devices in a secure area away from small children and pets when not in use. Avoid high-temperature areas (stoves, direct sunlight, hot cars) and humid places (bathrooms).
- Ear Tip Cleaning: Remove earwax buildup from ear tips using the enclosed tool and wipe clean with a tissue or soft cloth.
- Device Cleaning: Use the provided cleaning brush or a soft cloth to clean debris from buttons, microphones, and charging contacts. Inspect the receiver, ear tips, and charging case regularly.
- Avoid Liquids: Never use water, solvents, cleaning fluids, or oils to clean the hearing aids or charging ports. Do not submerge devices in water, wear them in the shower, or during water sports.
- Charging Case Care: Keep the charging case clean and dry. Use the provided cleaning brush to keep charging ports clear of debris.
- Battery Charging: Fully charge hearing aid batteries every night to ensure the longest life.
- Troubleshooting: A troubleshooting guide is provided in the manual for common issues such as no sound, unclear audio, whistling, or charging problems. Solutions include checking battery levels, cleaning components, adjusting volume, and ensuring correct insertion.
