The light fitting is suitable for installation on surfaces with normal flammability, such as wood, plasterboard, or masonry, but not on highly flammable surfaces like polystyrene or textiles.

Function Description

The primary function of the Potter Outdoor Wall Light is to provide ambient lighting for outdoor environments. It is designed to house a single E27 GLS (or pear shape) LED bulb, with a maximum power of 15W, to ensure maximum brightness. Lower wattage bulbs are also compatible. The product is rated IP44, indicating its suitability for outdoor conditions and protection against solid objects larger than 1mm and splashes of water from any direction.

Usage Features

• Installation: Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with IEE Wiring regulations and Building Regulations. Before commencing any work, the mains supply must be switched off to prevent electric shock. The fitting is secured to a wall using a fixing bracket, which serves as a template for marking mounting holes. Wall plugs and screws are supplied for this purpose. Care must be taken to avoid damaging wiring or pipes when drilling holes. Once the fixing bracket is secured, the light fitting is re-attached to it using screws, rubber washers, and finials.

• Shade Management: The shade (A) is removed by undoing top (B) and bottom (C) screws and washers. When refitting the shade, it's important to ensure the drain hole (J) is at the bottom. The shade must always be attached when the product is in use. Do not use the product if the shade is cracked or damaged.
