Mounting
When mounting the actuator on a valve, the following
precautions are recommended:
• Never cover the actuator with insulating material.
• Allow sufficient clearance to remove the actuator.
• Mount the valve in an upright angle or at an angle
less than 90° from the vertical for fluid
temperatures up to 212°F (100°C).
• Orient the actuator so that the yoke supports are
one above the other when mounting the valve
horizontally.
• Install the valve with the stem horizontal and
insulate the pipe to minimize heat transfer to the
actuator for fluid temperatures above 212°F
(100°C).
