GENERAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Carefully read the requirements in
this manual and keep in a safe
place. It contains important in-
structions on the safety, use and future of
your appliance.
This appliance is only for domestic use and
must only to be used for the purpose it was
specifically designed: and that is for the
ironing of fabrics.
Any other use is to be considered improper
and therefore dangerous. The constructor
cannot be held responsible for eventual da-
mages occurring from improper, wrong
and unreasonable uses. The installation
must be effected as by the constructors’
prescriptions. A wrong installation can
cause damages to persons, animals and
things. The constructor cannot be help re-
sponsible of this. The safety of the electric
appliances is guaranteed only if these are
connected to an electric network supplied
with suitable earthing as by what has been
agreed upon by the actual standards in
force concerning the electric safety.
The packing elements (plastic bags, nails,
expanded polystyrene. etc…) must not be
left at reach of children or disabled as they
represent a potential source of danger.
Before connecting the appliance make sure
that the data on the rating label are the
same as the mains supply of your home.
In case of incompatibility between the soc-
ket and the plug contact qualified person-
nel in order to effect the necessary
changes.
In general the use of adaptors, multiple
sockets and/or extensions are unadvisable.
If their use is absolutely necessary use only
materials in conformity with the laws in
force concerning the safety and having the
requirements of compatibility with ap-
pliance and electric network.
The use of any electric appliance requires
the respect of a few fundamental rules and
in particular:
• Do not immerge the appliance in water.
• Do not touch the appliance with wet or
damp hands
• Do not use the appliance barefooted
• Do not unplug the appliance by pulling
on
the appliance or the cable–always use the
plug itself.
• Do not leave the appliance exposed to
atmospheric agents (rain, sun).
• We recommend to not leave the appliance
at the reach of children or disabled and do
not allow them to use it.
• Always disconnect the plug from the soc-
ket when it is not used or before effecting
any cleaning or maintenance operation.
The feeding cable must always be unrolled
for all its length this in order to avoid over-
heating.
In case of damaged feeding cable, foresee
to the replacement, which must be effected
by qualified personnel.
In case of damage and/or bad functioning
turn off the appliance and contact qualified
personnel.
Any tampering or operation affected by un-
qualified personnel make you loose the
right of guarantee.
• Before using the iron for the first time,
make sure that you have removed all the
labels or protection films from the plate.
Clean the plate using a soft cloth.
• Some parts of the iron are slightly lubri-
cated and therefore the appliance, at the
moment of the first lighting up, could give
out a bit of smoke. This smoke will stop in
a short time.
• Always keep the ironing plate “B” always
smooth; do not make it slide on metallic
objects (ex. Iron support grid, metal but-
tons, zippers, etc…)
• Do not leave water in the machine when
the room temperature is 0° C or below.
• Do not fill the appliance under a running
tap.
• Do not allow the supply cable to come
into contact with the ironing plate.
• Do not overfill the water tank and do not
add stainremovers or similar products to
the water.
• The boiler must never be moved during
operation.
