How to fix no hot water in joule Wellmaster Water Heater?
    • K
      Kevin MorganAug 17, 2025
If there's no hot water from your Joule Water Heater, start by checking and opening the stopcock to ensure the cold main is on. If that's not the issue, the strainer in the pressure reducing valve might be blocked; isolate the water supply and clean it. Also, the inlet control set may be fitted incorrectly; check it and refit as required.

Why is there cold water at hot taps with my joule Wellmaster Water Heater?
    • T
      Tanya BuchananAug 21, 2025
If cold water is coming from your hot taps when using your Joule Water Heater, it could be due to several reasons. The immersion heater might not be switched on, or its cutout has triggered; check and reset it. If you have an indirect system, the boiler might not be working; consult the boiler manufacturer's instructions. Another cause could be a fault in the motorized valve; check the plumbing and wiring of the motorized valve. Lastly, in an indirect system, the cutout in the dual stat might have operated; ensure the outlet pressure from the inlet control set is 3 bar.

What to do if joule Wellmaster Water Heater discharges from temperature & pressure relief valve?
    • D
      David MurphyAug 26, 2025
If your Joule Water Heater is discharging water from the temperature & pressure relief valve, it indicates that the unit has overheated and the thermal controls have failed. Immediately switch off the power to both the boiler and immersion heaters, but leave the water supply on. Wait until the discharge stops, then isolate the water supply. Replace the faulty components.

How to stop noise during hot water draw off from Joule Water Heater?
    • T
      tapiaallenAug 28, 2025
Noise during hot water draw-off, typically worse in the morning, from your Joule Water Heater is often caused by loose airing cupboard pipework. To resolve this, install extra clips to secure the pipes.

Why is my joule Wellmaster's cold tap dispensing hot water?
    • J
      Jeff WardSep 1, 2025
If you notice hot or warm water coming from the cold tap when using your Joule Water Heater, and the tap runs cold after a minute or so, it's likely that the pipe is picking up heat from nearby heating pipework. Insulate or re-route the pipe to prevent this.

How to fix water escaping from joule Wellmaster Water Heater case unit?
    • B
      Brian JonesSep 5, 2025
If water is escaping from the case unit of your Joule Water Heater, it is likely due to a compression fitting on the hot draw-off not sealing properly. Check the joint and remake it using sealing paste.

Why is the water from my joule Wellmaster Water Heater milky or cloudy?
    • J
      Jeffrey CombsSep 8, 2025
Milky or cloudy water from your Joule Water Heater is due to oxygenated water. Water from any pressurized system will release oxygen bubbles when flowing. These bubbles will settle out over time.

Why is my joule Wellmaster Water Heater discharging water from the expansion relief valve?
    • R
      Robert MillerNov 13, 2025
If your Joule Water Heater is discharging water continually from the expansion relief valve, it might be due to the pressure reducing valve not operating correctly. Verify that the outlet pressure from the inlet control set is at 3 bar. Alternatively, the expansion relief valve seat may be damaged. In this case, remove the cartridge, inspect the seat, and replace it if necessary. If the discharge is intermittent, the expansion vessel charge might have reduced or the bladder could be perished. Check the pressure in the expansion vessel and recharge it to 3 bar if needed. If the bladder is damaged, replace the vessel. Also, the unit might be experiencing back pressurization. To resolve this, with the cylinder cold, check the pressure in the cylinder. If it matches the incoming mains pressure...
