4. Operation
4.1 Basic Operation

Power ON and Brightness Adjustment
Power ON/OFF
1) Press PWR switch to turn the unit on.
2) Alternately change Power ON or Power OFF.
After power-on, "550" is initially displayed in the FORE-AFT ship's
speed display window and the brightness level of the display
alternates between "H" (High) and "L" (low). After the elapse of
about one minute, the display mode changes to normal display.
Brightness Adjustment
1) Press DIMMER switch to adjust the brightness so
that you can read the screen easily.
2) Each time you press DIMMER , the display becomes
brighter. The brightness levels can be adjusted in six
increment.
The brightness level “H” and ”L” are AUTO-DIMMER mode.
Depending on the amount of external light, the AUTO-DIMMER
automatically controls illuminance via the photosensor provided in
the panel. At the "H" setting, illuminance is controlled for brighter
display, and at the "L" setting, illuminance is controlled for darker
display.
A press of the DIMMER switch on the panel displays the current
setting of the brightness level for three seconds in the DISTANCE
display window. A re-press of the switch during the display updates
the current setting by one level.
