7.2. Synchronisation with a radio signal
Your Junghans MEGA can receive radio signals from the fol-
lowing time signal transmitters:
Europe: DCF77 in Mainflingen
  
Japan: JJY40 near Tokyo and JJY60 near Osaka
  
The range of the transmitters is up to 1500 km depending on
topographical conditions.
Press button 2 briefly to display the last time signal received
on the second hand.
EU = Europe
UK = United Kingdom
JP = Japan
US = North America
JH = Junghans signal of the app
NO = no reception at last attempt
Manual time synchronisation within the same reception
area

If you are within the reception area of one
of the time signal transmitters, you can syn-
chronise the time manually. To do this, press
button 2 in crown position A for longer than
4 seconds.
After the signal is received successfully, the watch sets
itself to the transmitted time. This may take up to 10 minutes.

reception area
Pull the crown to position C.
Turn the crown clockwise or anticlockwise to change the
reception area. One crown rotation corresponds to one
reception area.
When you have reached the required reception area,
press the crown back to position A.
Synchronisation starts automatically.
After the signal is received successfully, the watch sets
itself to the transmitted time. This may take up to 10 minutes.
Please note that the time signal can only be obtained
within the watch is within the reception area of the trans-
mitter. For best reception conditions, take the watch off
your wrist during the reception phase.
If no reception is possible, synchronise the watch using the
Junghans MEGA app.
8. Information on solar technology
Light supply
The table below shows you how long the watch should be
exposed to light per day to generate sufficient power for
normal everyday use.
Do not expose the watch to temperatures over 50 degrees
Celsius while it is being charged.

8.1. Charge level indicator
When the power level is low, the second hand only takes
double jumps. If there is no power supplied, the second hand
only takes 4 steps every 2 seconds. Charge the watch by
exposing it to light as quickly as possible.
If all hands point permanently to the

power in the energy store to ensure
proper functioning. Please charge the
energy store until the second hand
again takes two steps every second.
The table below shows the charging times required if the
energy store has been fully discharged. These charging
times are dependent on the intensity of the light source.
The guideline values listed in the table are for orientation
only. Please note that the design of the solar dial affects the
charging time.
