Timer function (90-0 min)
• Select a time using the + and - buttons.
• Leave the rotary knob at 0.
• Start the timer by pressing the PAUSE/START button.
The preset time is counted down on the LCD display.
• An alarm sounds when the time has elapsed.
• Clear the alarm by pressing the PAUSE/START button.
• You can stop the timer (display flashes) and restart it
by pressing the PAUSE/START button.
• You can reset the preset time to 00:00 by simultane-
ously pressing the + and - buttons.
Stopwatch function (0-90 min)
• Leave the rotary knob at 0.
• Start the stopwatch by pressing the PAUSE/START but-
ton.
The time elapsed (0 - 90min) is shown on the LCD
display.
• You can stop the stopwatch (display flashes) and re-
start it by pressing the PAUSE/START button.
• You can reset the preset time to 00:00 by simultane-
ously pressing the + and - buttons.
Safety features
• The appliance cannot be started with the drive arm in
the raised position.
• If the drive arm is raised during processing, the appli-
ance stops.
 Reactivate the appliance when the drive arm is low-
ered again by pressing the PAUSE/START button.
• If there are too many ingredients in the bowl or the mix-
ture is too firm, the appliance will not start/processing
stops.
 The LCD display flashes.
 Remove some of the mixture from the bowl.
• The appliance stops automatically on overheating.
 One signal tone is sounded and the LCD display
flashes.
 Unplug the appliance, raise the drive arm and allow
the appliance to cool down for 30 min.
• After a processing time of approx. 20min, the appliance
automatically switches into energy-saving mode.
 The appliance stops, two signal tones are sounded,
the display flashes for 5s and is reset to 00:00.
 Reactivate the appliance by pressing the PAUSE/
START button or activating the rotary knob.
• If it is not used, the appliance automatically switches
into energy-saving mode after approx. 20 minutes.
 The LCD display switches off.
 Reactivate the appliance by pressing the PAUSE/
START button or activating the rotary knob.
First use
• Ensure that the appliance’s mains plug is plugged out.
• Before using the appliance for the first time, thoroughly
clean all parts of the appliance (see section Cleaning).
• Always ensure that the appliance is completely assem-
bled before operating it, with the mixing attachment
locked in place, with the bowl in position and locked
and with the splash guard lid in position.
• Place the appliance on a non-slip, even and clean sur-
face.
Switching on and setting the appliance
CAUTION Rotating parts can cause injury!
• Never put your hand into the appliance when the motor
is running.
• When the mains plug is plugged in, a short signal tone
is sounded, the LCD display lights red and the top line
flashes three times.
 The appliance is ready to use.
1 Select a time (0-20min) for processing by pressing the
+ and - buttons.
2 Turn the rotary knob to the desired speed level (0-12).
Processing starts.
The preset time is counted down on the LCD display.
• Once the time has elapsed, two signal tones are sound-
ed, the appliance switches off and the display flashes
00:00.
Info:
• Alternatively, you can also start processing directly,
without preselecting the time, by setting the rotary knob
to a speed level.
• If you turn the rotary knob to position0 during process-
ing, processing stops and the elapsed processing time
or the remaining time left of the preset time is set to
00:00.
• You can change the speed level at any time.
• You can stop the currently running processing (dis-
play flashes) and restart it by pressing the PAUSE/START
button.

Taking the appliance out of service
• Set the rotary knob to 0.
• Plug out the mains plug.
