These short instructions do not replace the ‘D4 Instructions for Use’.
Make sure you read and observe the safety information and warn-
ings first in order to avoid hazards.
Your D4 no longer has to be descaled if you are using the CLARIS
Smart filter cartridge.
E Once the filter cartridge stops working (depending on the
water hardness setting), the D4 will prompt you to change the
filter.
E CLARIS Smart filter cartridges are available from specialised
dealers.
Precondition:Your D4 is ready for use. The Filter symbol ! lights up
(if you are already using a filter).
T Open the water tank cover.
T Remove and empty the water tank.
T Open the filter holder and remove the old CLARIS Smart
filter cartridge.
T Insert a new CLARIS filter cartridge Smart into the water
tank, exerting slight pressure.
T Close the filter holder. It will click into place audibly.
T Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water and reinsert the
tank.
The machine has automatically detected that you have just
inserted/changed the filter cartridge.
The light segment on the switch lights up.
T Place a receptacle under the hot-water nozzle.
T Turn the switch to the§ position.
The light segment on the switch flashes, water flows out of
the hot-water nozzle.
E You can interrupt rinsing of the filter at any time. To do this,
turn the switch clockwise. Turn the switch anticlockwise to
continue rinsing the filter.
