Why is there no sound coming from my JVC Car Receiver speakers?

  If you cannot hear sound from the speakers, it may be due to several reasons. First, check if the volume level is set too low and adjust it accordingly. Also, ensure that all connections are correctly and firmly in place. Finally, noise may have caused the built-in microcomputer to malfunction. In this case, detach the control panel and press the reset button on the panel holder. Note that this will erase the clock setting and preset stations stored in memory.

  If your disc cannot be played back, consider the following: * Ensure the disc is inserted correctly, with the correct side facing down. * If using a CD-R/CD-RW, ensure it has been finalized using the component with which it was recorded. Insert a finalized CD-R/CD-RW. * Make sure the disc is unlocked. * If driving on a rough road, stop playback until you are on a smoother surface. * Check the disc for scratches and replace it if necessary. * Verify that all cords and connections are correct. * Ensure a disc is actually inserted into the loading slot. * Ensure the disc is inserted correctly.

  If 'NO DISC' appears on the display, it means that there is no disc in the magazine. To resolve this, insert discs into the magazine correctly, insert the magazine into the unit, and ensure the unit and the CD changer are connected correctly. Then, press the reset button on the CD changer.

  If the SSM automatic preset is not working, it could be due to weak signals. In this case, store stations manually. Alternatively, the aerial may not be connected firmly. Ensure the aerial is securely connected.
