Is the wiring for IC541
(56)~(64) correct?
Is 3.3V present at IC501
pin "20"?
Check CD 8V
and 5V.
Check the vicinity of
IC541.
Check the feed motor
connection wiring.
Is 6V or 2V present at
IC501 "4" and "5"?
Check IC501.
Is 4V present at both
sides of the feed motor?
Check the feed motor.

appear at TP1?
Is the RF waveform at TP1
distorted?
Proceed to the Tracking
section
Is 4V present at IC501
pins "6" and "7"?
Check the spindle motor
and its wiring
Check the circuits in the
vicinity of IC521 "19"~
"24" or the pickup
Is 4V present at IC541
pins "41" ?
Check IC541 and
IC521.
Check the vicinity of
IC501.
When the disc is rotated
at first:
Approx. 1.2V
Is the tracking error signal
output at IC521 "11"?
Check IC541.
Check the circuit in the
vicinity of IC521 pins
"2"~"12".
Check the pickup and
its connections
