K-Drill Ice Auger Operation
WARNING - You must read and understand the following instructions
before you can safely use the K-Drill ice auger.
Proper Drill Setup
1) Ensure that you have an adequate drill, meaning a half-
inch chuck and at least 725 in/lbs of torque.
2) Ensure the drill is set to its DRILL mode, not ratchet
or hammer.
3) Ensure the drill is set to its LOWEST (slowest) gear
setting.
4) Ensure your drill has a side-arm attachment so you
can maintain a secure two-handed hold on the drill

CAUTION - Cutting blades are SHARP! Be sure to leave the safety cover
in place until you are ready to drill or serious injury may result.
1) Insert the Driver Adapter into the chuck of your drill.
2)Aligntheatsoftheadapterwiththejawsofyourdrill’schuckasyoucareful-
ly tighten it into place.
3) Ensure the auger is fully tightened, and check tightness periodically, re-tighten-
ing the auger in the chuck as needed.
IMPORTANT - A good practice for ensuring a securely tightened chuck is to tight-
en once and start drilling a hole, but after only a few seconds of drilling, STOP and
re-tighten the chuck. And is always good to keep checking your chuck throughout
the day to be sure it stays tight.
