Terminal
number
Meaning
1 - DC/AC 0 V DC/AC
2 + DC/AC 10 … 34 V DC or 12 … 27 V AC, 50/60 Hz
Power consumption: typically 1.2 W; max. 2.2 W
For information on the maximum cable length, see Chapter 3.2.1 / Page 23
2.5.3 Output OUT (4)
One output OUT is available (e.g., an electric strike):
Terminal
number
Meaning
3 NC (normally closed)
4 COM
5 NO (normally open)
2.5.4 Connecting the tamper switch (6)
Where necessary, the external tamper monitoring function of the Compact Reader can be
connected. As soon as the PCB (in the housing) is lifted off the mounting plate plug, this
interruption to the connection (e.g., at the input of the parent control unit) can be evaluated as
sabotage. When closed, terminals 6 and 9 are connected to the PCB via a 680 ohm resistor.
Terminal numbe
Meaning
9 Tamper switch (tamper)
6 GND (common ground)
