Overview

The Kambrook KPC220 Golden Pancake Perfection Pancake Maker is an electrical appliance designed for household use to quickly and easily prepare pancakes. This instruction booklet covers all KPC220 models, providing essential information on safety, operation, care, cleaning, storage, and recipes.

Function Description

The pancake maker is designed to cook two large pancakes simultaneously using 1300 watt cooking elements. It features a PFOA-free non-stick coating for quick and easy cleaning, minimizing the need for oil. The appliance includes a cool-touch handle for safe operation and a lid release button to open the top plate. It is not intended to be operated by an external timer or separate remote control system.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Power: 1300 watts
  • Voltage: Connects to 230V or 240V power outlet
  • Cooking Wells: Two large pancake wells
  • Coating: PFOA-free non-stick coating
  • Timer: LED display with count-down timer, adjustable from 30 seconds to 10 minutes in half-minute increments (0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 minutes, etc.)
  • Indicator Lights: 'Power' (red) and 'Ready' (green)
  • Storage: Integrated into the base, stores conveniently on its side
  • Stability: Non-slip feet

Usage Features

  1. Before First Use: Remove promotional labels, wipe wells and plates with a damp cloth, dry thoroughly, and season the plates as per the instructions in the Care, Cleaning & Storage section.
  2. Power On: Insert the power plug into a 230/240V outlet and turn the power on. The 'POWER' light will illuminate red, and the screen will show a rotating loop 'C' indicating pre-heating.
  3. Pre-heating Completion: Once pre-heating is finished, the 'READY' light will illuminate green, the unit will beep 3 times, and '00' will display on the screen.
  4. Adding Batter: Press the lid release button and open the lid using the handle. Pour/place batter/ingredients evenly into the centre of each well, ensuring the total volume does not exceed the rim of the bottom cooking well. The maximum amount of pancake batter per cooking well is 1/3 cup.
  5. Setting Cooking Time: Use the timer increase or decrease buttons to set the desired cooking time between 30 seconds and 10 minutes. The timer is represented in half-minute increments.
  6. Cooking Process: Once the selected time stops flashing, the pancake maker will start the countdown. The 'POWER' and 'READY' lights will cycle on and off to maintain the correct temperature. The timer counts down in 0.5-minute intervals, then by seconds once it reaches 1 minute.
  7. Cooking Completion: When the cooking time has elapsed, the timer will beep 5 times, and the LED screen will display '00'.
  8. Removing Pancakes: Open the lid and remove pancakes with a heat-proof silicone spatula. Do not use metal utensils to avoid scratching the non-stick surface.
  9. Subsequent Batches: To cook another batch, close the lid, wait for the 'Ready' light to illuminate, then repeat steps 4 to 9.
  10. Lid Lock: The lid must be locked closed at all times when cooking.
  11. Initial Use Smoke Haze: A fine smoke haze may be noticed during the first use due to the initial heating of components; this is normal.
