Troubleshooting
Often faults have simple causes which you can remedy yourself with the aid of the following table.
In case of doubt, or if you encounter a fault or cause not listed here, please consult an authorized
Customer Service point.
 Danger of electric shock!
Repair work on the machine may only be carried out by the authorized Customer Service.
Fault Cause Remedy
Machine does not
work.
Current supply interrupted. Draw out mains plug, check the connection lead and mains plug
for damage.
Suction performance
decreases during
operation.
No baffle plate or not inserted correctly. Insert baffle plate correctly (see Supplied items).
Intermediate filter in container cover wet. Wash and dry intermediate filter or insert a new filter (see Care /
Maintenance).
Too little or too much water in the water
container.
Check MIN / MAX mark on the container.
Intermediate filter in
container cover wet.
Excessive foam formation in the water filter
container.
Change water and add 1–2 capfuls of FoamStop. Wash and dry
intermediate filter or insert a new filter.
Suction performance
inadequate.
No intermediate filter or not inserted
correctly.
Check.
HEPA-Plus filter is dirty. Change HEPA-Plus filter (see Care / Maintenance).
Intermediate filter is dirty. Wash filter; if required, insert new filter (see Care / Maintenance).
Accessory blocked. Remove blockage.
Deposits in suction manifold. Remove deposits (see Care / Maintenance).
Water container not inserted correctly. Check (see Operation).
False air slide on handle open. Close false air slide.
Excessive foam
formation in the
container.
No or inadequate FoamStop. Change water and add 1 capful of FoamStop to the water filter
container.
